Ah...Father's Day...yeah, we've caught up to June 21st...

On Father's day we went to church, then we walked over to what the kids call the secret or hidden park near us and played for a while. Here we are...

Kindle ate ice cream for her first time in June. She loved it...too bad we have since discovered that she is lactose intolerant...oh well, enjoy these anyway!

Solace met an astronaut...

Solace was invited with about 100 other kids in Omaha to go to a program at the Children's Museum on World environment day and to meat and learn about our Earth from the first African-American female astronaut, Dr Mae Jemison. We thought it would be cool for her to go to, so she did. I snuck in the door and tried to get a few pictures between the news cameras. They did not turn out well, but here are the best ones.

Solace Dr Jemisen
(While she was at the program, the other kids and I played around the rest of the museum. Her is Kindle in Elmo's World in the visiting Sesame Street exhibit.)

Whale Watching

We decided to splurge and pay for a Whale Watching excursion. Mats and Heidi came with us. We were all geared up and excited to go, but in the end it was a bit disappointing. Kinda funny though because they drove us into US waters to see the whales-we ended up just off of Seattle. It was like 3 hours out on the boat. Wes had convinced me to take a seasickness pill so I wouldn't get sick-I didn't, but I did get drowsy and had a heck of a time staying awake! That aside. I am glad we did it, and here are the pics...

Wes at the start...we sat in the very front. Eagle
Sea lions

On the left is a US island , on the right, Canadian. Right before we went into US waters.
We never got really close to the whales, but here are a few of the better pics I got...

This is a baby and his big brother...

Here we are at the end
