Damn Red Sox!

That is all.

What Happened to the Armour Hot Dog?

As many of you know, I was bound and determined to get Armour one of the above pictured hot dog costumes for Halloween as it would have been hilarious for him to be an Armour hot dog. Sadly, I learned in extensive research that they do not actually make those hot dog costumes in toddler sizes. They make infant ones without leg holes and then size 8 in children to adult, but none of the sizes in between. Thus, no Armour hot dog.

Halloween!!!

Wes had a party at work, so he dressed up. I got him and awesome wig and he went as a hippie. I also couldn't resist getting myself this awesome devil wig that was on sale as well. We had a fun Halloween.

A Hippie and some kids. I told them all to give me their best character pose (Ender was supposed to be his best Batman, Solace her best Jasmine, Armour his best Doctor, and Wes, his best Hippie.)
I think I got 4 hippies instead...(check out Ender's tongue!)
More Hippies.
Dr J Jr
Batman reveals his hidden Bruce Wayne...
Jasmine's crown fell off her head, but you can still see how "royal" she is.
This is the mask they gave Wes at his party-can you tell who is wearing it?!
Wes lets out the inner hippie. (Nice hair, huh, I bet you hardly recognized him.)
OO-naughty!
Aren't we a cute little evil hippie couple?!

Halloween: School Parade.

Doctor Johnson, Jr. Batman and Jasmine
All 3 at school pre-parade.
"I need to get out and help someone!"
Ender was at the beginning of the parade.
Solace was in the middle...
Army walked with Sol for a while (in case of a medical emergency...)

Taking a break with 2 stethoscope.
Jasmine's great smile
Batman's great smile (as he says "I'm batman")
Jasmine and her pirate & ninja turtle buddies.
Ender and his fairy buddy.

Tri-ward Trunk or Treat

For our tri-ward trunk or treat, our little Armour's Doctor costume was dirty from the party he had at playgroup the day before, so he went in his truest form as a monkey! :) I should mention that it was a 3 hour activity, which as many of you know is 3x longer that Wesley's threshold for ward activities. There was an hour for dinner first, and our ward was in charge of that. We were told to bring either a crock pot stew, soup or chili. This horribly obnoxious woman from the other ward took over the whole thing and stood up after the prayer and announced that there was "just about anything you can cook in a crock pot, so head over and get some food-there is something for everyone's tastes." So, I walked over to find that evidently the only thing you can actually cook in a crock pot is chili, like 30 different kinds of chili. It was hilarious, and I felt good to know that the chili I brought (Wes actually made it) was the first to be scarfed up by the people! Nice! GO Wes! The second hour was a chaotic and uncomfortable hour of games and spook alleys (done my the singles ward BTW). It was crazy, then the third hour was (finally) the Trunk or Treat. I had asked Wes to park our van in the trunk or treat parking as I had brought candy to give out. So he did. The candy thing was supposed to last from 7-8. By 7:10 I was out of candy, and Wes had brought our kids around to the many cars. So, Wes decided we were going to leave, and I was supposed to try to stop the chain of children walking past. I walked to the back of the car unsure of how this could possibly work, and could not find a way. So, this guy who obviously understood Wes's urgent desire to leave stopped the kids traffic and helped Wes back out and drive off. It was a funny moment of male bonding for me to witness. It was like the unspoken understanding and support. Hilarious! Anyway, enough said, Here are some Trunk or Treat Pics:

This is what they did when I told them to show me their best faces...nice Armour, you already have dad/grandpa's sense of humor... And all three faces...
In the parade of costumes at the ward.
Army was too hot in his monkey costume...here he is with dad. Aren't they handsome?!
Mom and the older 2.
And this is what A thought after about the first hour.
But S was still smiling!
"I'm Batman!"

Harvest Day Celebration.

Last week, the preschool had a Harvest Day Celebration. They had rooms with apple decorating, pumpkin decorating, Fall leaf crafts, making hats, taking family pictures, and playing games. I only took pictures in the game room with the mummy wrap. It's lucky I had the presence of mind to even get those pictures with how crazy it was at that activity alone with 3 kids (Wes was at work). Ahhhhhhh...but they had a blast!

"Mom-look, I'm a mummy." "Check me out mom, I want to be a mummy too!"
(But do not wrap anything on me, I am a self made mummy, check out my shoulder)
Mummy's all!
"I am the happiest mummy of the bunch!"
"I love this chair!"

Field Trips galore

Well, a couple weeks ago my sweet oldest 2 kids had their first preschool field trips! Solace's was on a Tuesday, and we all went with her (as mom was chaperoning), then Ender's was on Wednesday. They were the same field trip/tour of an apple orchard in Green Bluffs. Sadly, I did not have my camera on Tuesday, but I learned my lesson and brought it on Wednesday. I will say, the field trip on Tuesday was much more pleasant-warmer weather, better organized, less groups of kids and less chaos. But, here are the pictures from Ender's first (butt cold) field trip.

Armour freezing in his stroller.
Brothers waiting for the tour to begin. We are all freezing our A's off!!
After picking his pumpkin.
A treat of donuts and (cold ) cider (would have rocked if it had been warm).
"The cold no longer matters now that I have a donut!"
On the hayrack ride. Armour was pretty much freezing, refusing to wear a hat and pretty much done by the hayrack ride.

Blue Eyed Beauties.

In case anyone ever wondered where Solace's big blue eyes came from...

Disney Envy...

Well, as much of my family is spending the weekend (and UEA days off) in Disneyland, this is just my Disney-envy blog. As you can see, I made the sign in the pictures say that they miss us...I wish I was there, playing in the warm sun and riding the fun rides (ok-granted I cannot ride any of the fun rides now as I am pregnant, but really it's just the idea of being there...)
We miss you too Disneyland! (Well, all of us but Wes) :)

Just a few more pics from the visit.

Well, I realize my blogging is so far behind right now, but I thought I would just finish putting up these pics from my family's visit before my in-laws come this weekend and I have more to post! Enjoy these various pics:
