Armour turned 3 while Ashley and Cody were here!

On July 26th of this year, my baby boy turned 3! He is one heck of a kid-so smart!! Some things you may not know about him: 1-He LOVES the color yellow. 2-He is a snuggly kid that loves his momma. In fact if I am more that 5 feet from him he freaks out. 3-He has a smile that melts hearts. 4-He can spell and write his name already! When he does, he usually writes the A upside down then turns the paper over to write the rest. Also, sometimes he doesn't care if the letters are in order. 5-He is TOTALLY named aptly as Armour WESLEY. He is basically a smaller version of Wes. 6-It takes him approximately 35 seconds to go through a can of silly string. 7-He would wear a "wife beater" tank top and gym shorts all day every day if I let him. Even in the cold. 8-I am pretty sure he thinks doctors are actually mechanics, handymen, and roofers...his famous quote when anything breaks around the house or there is a problem is "Dad's a Doctor, he will fix it." 9-He has these dress up scrubs that are WAY too small, but he still goes and crams them on his body whenever he needs to "work" He tells me "I better go get me work clothes." Then comes out in them. 10-Up until today (October 17), he only liked one sauce, teriyaki. He tried ketsup today for the first time though and liked it! He is awesome!

Happy late birthday to my 3-yr-old!! We love you Armour!!

While Ashley and Cody visited...

Solace lost another tooth. As of today (October 17) she has lost a grand total of 6 teeth. She can hardly eat a thing! :)

Ashley and Cody VIsit: The Zoo

No one should ever visit Omaha without visiting the Zoo. It is probably our city's best feature. When Ashley and Cody were here, it was "Mutual of Omaha Weekend." That meant a lot of activities were free including the zoo. We thought it would be awesome. The zoo is always interesting, but this was an adventure like not other. It was BUSY! We parked far away, walked over, stood in lines and spent a good hour trying to cram through the Aquarium while packed in like sardines with what I am sure must have been all 42000 people that were at the zoo that day. That's right 42000! Breaking the old one-day attendance record of almost 24000. Yeah-it was INSANE!! We still had a blast and managed to take a few photos to share.

Beautiful girl (she is always willing to pose for me!)
In the aquarium (trying to exit at the very end-less busy there-the backup was at the shark tunnel. As an FYI, about 30 seconds after we exited the aquarium, someone pulled the fire alarm and they had to evacuate it. Glad we missed that.)

Ashley & Cody Visit: Children's Museum

Shortly after we returned from Utah in July, Ashley and Cody came and visited us. We had a fun visit (though it is always too short visiting family). One of the things we did was go to the Children's Museum. Check it out:

Cody and Armour in Elmo's world. Doesn't this picture look like Cody is trying to put that magnetic Elmo shirt on Armour?!

"We painted our faces too!"
