Giant Pumpkins, from start to harvest...

See how they grow...
First pumpkin sproutlet...

First pumpkin we had to harvest due to broken stem about a month or so ago...

Just so you have some comparisons from our state fair. This pumpkin by Armour is 355 pounds.
This pumpkin is 445 pounds.

A few weeks ago when Anne and Steve were here...






Harvested and on display in the front this morning (We harvested them about 10 days ago)

Wow Wes! You've got big gourds! Those are really amazing. We bought some today that are 2.5 lbs each (approx)...not quite the same. With yours, you can just block the trick-or-treaters with a wall of pumpkins. With ours, we'd have to throw them at 'em. Seriously, those are impressive. Did you have to rotate them to keep the good shape?
Also, I'd like to know what songs you sang to them.

How fun! I wish we had pumpkins. I put ours in too small a space and then killed them as they started to take over everything else.

I didn't actually sing to any of them. I did have to have my neighbor help me lift the biggest one onto the porch. It was too heavy for Beckee...
