We may need to work on our reverance...aka General Conferencs in Utah

Boy are we terrible at watching General Conference! We went over to Ashley and Cody (and baby Sam)'s house to watch with the Johnsons on Sunday, and I fear we distracted all from conference...sorry about that. We are one energetic distraction! Here are some of the things we did during conference...I am SOOO going to need to read the Ensign...

We were climbing on the grown up chairs
Jumpin gon aunts (and forcing tickle parties)
Sleeping
Distracting Grandma
Decorating Grandpa (this is Solace's work)
And decorating daddy...
Well, looking at Wes and his dad in these pictures basically just proves the old saying:
"Like Father, Like Son."

Easter Bunny, boy or girl? Check out our Easter morning in Utah while you think on that...

We happened to be there for Easter (which happened to be GREEK Easter and General Conference as well). Below are a few pictures of Easter morning at my parents house. Once again, we were so glad that the Easter Bunny could find us away from home!

We did have an interesting disagreement at our house this year as to whether the Easter bunny is in fact a boy or a girl...what do you all think?

Enjoy our pics while you think on that...

Utah: Kindle discovers she's not the baby anymore

We were lucky enough to meet baby Sam in Utah while he is still a little guy! I got a few pictures of when Kindle finally diacovered him. Unfortunately, my camera was misbehaving at that time so the pictures are quite bright and sad looking! But here are a couple of the better shots:
As you can see, Jessica was holding Sam when Kindle decided to go check him out.

Utah visit: E Dawg "cooks"

We visited Utah last week for Spring Break, so you can plan on the usual onslaught of way too many cute pictures!! I'll start out slow with this one picture of Ender. The day we got into town, he helped aunt Stefanie make brownies. Needless to say, I do not think the cooking or helping part is what drew him in. Check it out!

April Fools Fun!!!

Well. I have kept you in suspense far long enough..I know you have been wondering for days nee weeks now about what, if anything I did for April Fools Day this year.

My last post was on May 31 and it was a plea for ideas. I mentioned that my son, Ender had come in and asked me whether I was doing the same thing as last year or something better. That is not exactly how it happened. He actually came to me and said "Mom, are you going to do the same thing for April Fools that you did last year?" I said, "Actually, Ender, no." I felt bad, I had NOTHING planned.

Ender walked out of my room into his sister room and I heard him very happily exclaim "Solace! Mom has something even BETTER planned this year!!" Oh boy! I felt the pressure.

Did I come up with something? You bet I did! We had Cake for dinner with a lovely floral centerpiece. You can see it below:

Don't let your eyes decieve you though-the "cake" was actually Pasticio (which is a wonderful Greek dish-I have heard people call it Greek Lasagna-some day if you are super lucky I will post the recipe on here-it is my FAVORITE!!!)

ANd the floral centerpiece was, of course also an April Fools deception-it was actually a "dirt pie" dessert (basically a really fancy chocolate pudding with crushed oreos on top.

So, did any of you do anything special for April Fools?
