Random-about my siblings...

So, my sister did her random tag on her blog, but she thought her things were boring, so I wrote 6 different random things for her and thought I would share them with you. And while I am at it, I might as well share things about all my sibs.

Here's my random things about Andrea:
1-Although her husband has 2 degrees from the U, he is an unfailingly Y fan...
2-She was a drunken crazy (and possibly gay) old lady in her high school musical, and in a performance in association with that show, she fell on her face and broke her nose.
3-She is allergic to pretty much everything, though recently has been able to try Strawberries for the first time...not to steal from Rachel Ray, but yum-o!
4-She and her whole family are basically Disneyland experts, only to be outdone by the Seaburys...
5-She is Nala, and she named her kid Kyara...nuf said.
6-Her dad used to wait right through a glass front door watching while she said goodbye to all her dates...always...

About Melanie:
1-First and foremost, she has now made sure that Wes is not the only True Aggie in the family. (Feel free to send any questions or comments about that her way)
2-Though Mel seems pretty laid back, she is actually one of the pickiest people I know about her clothing...yes, what she wears is carefully chosen out and picked to wear.
3-She once took my mom's car and drove to Disneyland which is no big deal except she forgot to tell anyone.
4-She has many a nickname including Belle, Bella, Mel, Belle, Melarella, munchkin...
5-She has a Build-a-Bear addiction. Seriously, an addiction people, I have considered an intervention...ok, well, maybe not that seriously...
6-She is looking for a young good looking vampire to marry thanks to the Twilight series, but will I am sure settle for a nice Mormon boy eventually!

About Spencer:
1-Currently this busy guy is playing both Soccer & Football.
2-He looks just like me but male-seriously. I will find some pics to put up to prove this point.
3-He goes by a name that is actually not his name at all and was inspired by the late princess Diana.
4-He will be 11 in a few days, and his nearest sibling in age is almost 20. He has like 5 or 6 nieces and nephews closer in age to him than any of his siblings are.
5-At 10-year-old, his very best friend was his Aunt Cathy who recently passed away-this is significant to note, not for the tragic loss, but for the fact that he adores his family so much and that he absolutely loved his aunt more than anyone though most boys his age would have thought they needed to act too cool for that.
6-As a small child, he told my first date that I was his mother because my dad gave him 5 bucks to do so!

Random Tag...

OK, so my sister-in-law tagged me. I am supposed to tell you 6 random things about me. I may have done this in the past, it might be similar...

1-Whenever I meet new people and I am supposed to tell them something unique about me, I always either tell them that I taught drama where they filmed High School Musical or that my husband's cousin (2nd cousin) wrote and directed Napoleon Dynamite. I decide which one to share based on my audience.

2-I do not like to pray in public, like in front of people. Whenever they ask me to pray in sacrament meeting I pretty much have panic attacks from the second they ask until the prayer is over. I would rather speak or sing, or run the whole darn meeting...go figure!

3-I am an insomniac...or maybe a night owl...I don't know which, but I don't sleep until late...or early depending on how you look at it, and thus am always tired!

4-When I was little I did not watch cartoons. Seriously-not at all. I had never heard of most of the classic cartoons of my youth until I was an adult...

5-I am a total klutz! Always have been!! Here is the bruise on my leg to prove it:

What happened you ask? I was running up the stairs to get a screaming baby and tripped over my own dang foot and smacked my calf against the top step that has metal over the corner-oh yeah-I am a true klutz!!

6-I am the resident handyman...Generally speaking, when something goes wrong with our home, I am more inclined to mess with it and try to fix it myself first, whereas Wes is more inclined to just call the appropriate expert in. Maybe that is a sign that I see myself as an expert in everything!

I tag: Melanie, Cassie H. & Laura N. (I only leave Andrea out cause Stef already tagged her)

Random thoughts and comments from a snowy day...

Random topic one: American Idol goes to Omaha!

You might be aware that I love American Idol. So, it was a bit disappointing when I learned they would be auditioning in my adopted home city of Omaha shortly after I was moving to Spokane. Tonight is the big Omaha auditions night on TV, so I am thinking about it, and feeling a bit "home" sick for Omaha. Check out these pics from American Idols site...

The Crowd outside the Qwest Center the night before Inside the next day

Emily (from my ward in Omaha) at her audition.
This just made me more homesick as I started to think of my true home state of Utah!!

And crazily enough-just to compact the homesickness, this guy went to high school with me in Utah, and here he is auditioning for Idol in Omaha...small world...
Random topic 2: What the Heath Ledger dead?!
On my honeymoon, while Wes and I watched the movie The Patriot, I made the mistake of mentioning that I thought Heath Ledger was totally hot. Wes was less than happy about that comment and to say the least has not liked Heath Ledger since then. Over the years, he has become a bit less attractive to me as his lifestyle had obviously been catching up with him. Sadly, it seems his lifestyle really caught up with him, whether it was an accidental overdose or a suicide. I am really shocked that he is dead. It happens sometimes that a famous actor at the height of his career will die (John Candy, River Phoenix, just to name a couple I remember in my lifetime). This really struck me as shocking though as he is YOUNGER than me...It is just a crazy sad story, and I really feel bad for Michelle Williams and her daughter that now will be raised without her dad. So sad...
Random Topic 3: What I am craving and missing about Omaha right now...

Kona Grill and their awesome Macadamia chicken! Mmmmmm...That is all on that.

And Lastly, Random Topic #4: What I am most disappointed in!
Yoplait Whips. Bought a bunch as they were on super sale, and found them to be disappointingly gross! Would not suggest them-in any flavor! Ew...

OK-So was for some odd reason googled "Solace" under images (well, to make sure that my girl did not come up), and this painting came up. It is a painting I found on the website for the Pierside Gallery in Huntington Beach. It is (obviously) called Solace and painted by Pino. I thought it was beautiful!! Just like my Solace and I just thought I would share. (BTW-can anyone tell by the number of blogs added tonight that Wes is on call?!)

Today's secret ingredient is...

Many of you know that I love to cook, and I am relatively good at it. I usually cook pretty elaborate meals for dinner every night. I always feel like I am selling out or cheating when I make a casserole or spaghetti, or anything easy really. However, many of you also know that I am pregnant, and for some sad, sorry reason this pregnancy has been really painful and tiring as I have an ovarian cyst (and a couple other "little" things). So, the point in mentioning that is that now I feel good if I actually get something like spaghetti on the table. Another symptom of this pregnancy has been that nothing is settling well, or even sounding good to eat.

That all said, can I just say, Campbell's tomato soup is the tastiest, most versatile ingredient ever! I used to think Cream of Mushroom soup was the be-all-end-all, but now I am liking the soup-cannot keep it in my house I am using it so much. It is great on noodles, with various meats (chicken and hamburger work well), or as a dip for sandwiches, or just to eat on it's own! Awesome, and I highly recommend using it, and using it often!

Campbell's soup is mmm...mmm...good!
