Jeremy's not so bad after all...

This blog is going to seem strange and random, and frankly it is strange and random, but here it is. (I will also be relentlessly harassed about this I am sure) Oh well...

The picture above is of my sister and her husband Jeremy. If you know me and Jeremy, you might be aware that we were not big fans of each other when he and my sister started dating, or even when they got married. Over the years, I have come to appreciate Jeremy more and to even like him. Why do I bring this up today you ask? I'll tell you...

Today as I grabbed the spices to put in my spaghetti sauce, I grabbed basil to put in. I thought to myself, "wow, basil is a really good spice-I love it and I use it on pretty much everything these days." Then I thought "Actually it's pretty weird that I use it at all as I never used it before in my life until Jeremy gave me a recipe that called for it." Then I thought, "Wow, Jeremy's not so bad after all-he totally introduced me to my new favorite spice-nice."

Now, that made me think of the other great things about Jeremy, and here are a few I thought of:
1-I LOVE his Portuguese chicken recipe. And actually, whenever he has cooked for us, it's been awesome.
2-I am so glad that every time I misplace my copy of that recipe, he willingly sends me a new copy.
3-He really is a great husband to my sister and dad to his kids, and I'm glad cause that's my family he's in charge of caring for.

So, Jeremy, no matter what my dad says, we don't think you are on probation anymore-you can stick around. So, I'll just take this opportunity to welcome you to the family officially. :)

Now that you have all had an inside peek into my thinking process, are you afraid? I think I am a little bit...

Jeremy: I'm waiting to hear from you. It's about time everyone else took you off probation.....

Probation huh? Well that was very nice of you Beckee. So basically I'm good for food and recipes and that's why Beckee likes me.....I'm OK with that. I guess I'll have reconsider whether or not to take you off probation and invite you into the family :) J/K
