Keeping it cool...
The day we moved to Arizona, it was 114 degrees. We were lucky enough to have Tyson and Lindsey and their family there to help us out. Wes and I drove the moving truck from Omaha, NE. On the way there, we stopped in Colorado Springs and stayed overnight at Ty and Lindsey's house there, then they joined us and we caravan-ed the rest of the way to Scottsdale. In the mean time, my mom, who had my kids still in Utah, drove them to our new house in Scottsdale from Salt Lake. We all met up on that hot 114 degree day and unloaded a hot truck. It was really obvious, really fast that we were going to need to find ways to stay cool. And after getting our first summer AC bill of almost $700, I knew we would need to swim. A Lot. Luckily almost everyone has a pool in their backyard there. We did not, but our friends did. IN fact, we have some friends that were in our Omaha ward during med school that now live in Scottsdale. The Nelson's have a fabulous pool and they were gone for the summer. But they told us to swim there any time we wanted to.So, we took advantage of that, swan with our friends the Ursics at their pool, and got season passes to Wet N Wild. Below are some of the pictures of us at those locations!
