All before 9 am

By the way-feel free to laugh. I am sure I will-tomorrow...today I am wallowing in my misery.

OK, So, I will catch up this blog, but just thought I'd mention this morning...So, at about 8 am I had to take the older kids to the bus stop. I was in pj's and Wes's flip flops. Kindle had no shoes. Armour was wearing plaid shorts he slept in and a Hawaiian shirt that was missing 2 of 4 buttons. I had not bothered to get the younger kids nor myself ready for the day yet. Too busy with the school kids. We go to the bus stop. come home, open the garage, and realize I locked the door and did not bring keys...yeah I locked myself out. I go in the backyard and try to break into my own house, but after the attempted break in of last week (see last blog for info on this), apparently I was very effective at securing my home. Wes is at a training today for his yearly recertification for ACLS (Advanced Lifesaving or something like that). He cannot leave. I have no phone, no keys, NOTHING. I decide I have to call Wes. So, I walk down to my friend's house and she is about to leave for work, but lets me use her phone and page Wes and offers to help me further, but I didn't want her to miss work or be put out. So, I call Wes. He cannot leave. I tell him not to worry, I will find a way to get a ride out to where he is to get his keys (it is a good 30 minute drive one way). As I am talking to Shauna about what I will do. Wes calls back and says they told him to go home and let me in then hurry back.

I decide since Wes is being really put out to help his stupid wife, that I should at least do something nice to help him. So I decide to mow the lawn (the front-the back still has nails and such). As I start the mower, I slice my thumb open. I had nothing to hold on it or stop the bleeding and I figured that I would just have to deal with it later. I mow the lawn with my thumb dripping blood (gross but true) while the kids are strapped int eh double stroller that was also in the garage with the lawn mower. I finish the lawn and decide to clean up my had with the hose at least. I do so, then I carefully clean the driveway and the garbage can out with the hose. Clean my thumb again and Wes gets there with the key.

All that before 9 am...(my thumb has bled through many band aids, but I think it is OK...)

Wow-that a morning!

Oh, you painted quite the picture with you and you two kids locked out. I love that you were wearing Wes's flip flops. I do that all the time when I run out quickly and if anyone sees me I feel a little silly. Well, at least you got the lawn mowed. One accomplishment done! Thanks for the laugh. Sorry it was at your expense.

Sorry that you had such a crazy morning, especially getting injured, but I'm glad you can laugh at it. Thanks for sharing!

You are such a good wife. I never would have thought to mow the lawn to show appreciation.
