First Things First, AKA Adventures with Bananas...

Ok so, first things first! For the week of Solace's birthday (last week), in school she was in charge of bringing snacks each day, and she had her "STAR" week. For this project, we wrote a letter to her about how special and famous she is in our family, and Solace and I made a poster about her for her to share with her class. It was quite an extensive project, but fun as well. When you are the Star, you also get the privilege of bringing home the class mascot/stuffed animal, and are supposed to take pictures of your adventures with him, then return him and his book of adventure to class the following Monday with your additional pictures and with a letter from Bananas about the adventures. Bananas is the monkey/mascot BTW. I will just copy/paste his letter he sent back (I might have helped a bit), and here are the pics I included.

"Dear Friends,
Wow! Solace and her family are a busy group! I had a lot of fun hanging around with them all week.
We did a lot of fun things during the week. When I first got to their house, I met her whole family. She lives with her mom, dad, and her 2 younger brothers, Ender and Armour. Armour really liked me and he played with me all week, and even watched me for Solace while she was at school. Solace’s family has a huge monkey friend like me, and I got to play with him a lot during the week too!
Solace has a new toy at her house called a Wii. She showed me how the controllers work and even let me play a little. It was so fun! We also read a lot. Solace even read some books to me without her mom’s help! We got to eat Pop Tarts for breakfast one morning. Boy, those are sure a treat!
I went to the doctor with Solace when she and her brothers got their flu shots. I thought I might have to get one too, and just the thought of it made me want to cry. But then I saw Solace and her brothers get their shots, and none of them cried. They were so brave! I was ready for my shot after that, but the nurse assured me that monkeys don’t need to get flu shots! Phew!
Saturday, Dec 8 was Solace’s birthday and I got to help her open presents. We had a great time playing together. We got to go see the Christmas Creche exhibit at her church (I was excited to go see it again after I saw it with Mike last week). It was a lot of fun. Solace got a tent and sleeping bag for her birthday and I slept in there with her.
I sure had a great time with Solace and her family, and I cannot wait to see what new family and new adventures I get to have next week!
Love,
Bananas"
